1. Pakistan – 75 Rupees Commemorative, 2022
   Islamic Republic of Pakistan – the first country ever to take the title, in 1956. A special issue for 75 years of independence. Front: four founding leaders of Pakistan, including Quaid-e-Azam Muhammad Ali Jinnah. Back: the markhor, Pakistan’s national animal.

2. Iran – 20,000 Rials
   Islamic Republic of Iran, since 1979. Front: portrait of Ayatollah Khomeini. Back: the windcatchers of the Aghazadeh House in Abarkouh.

3. Mauritania – 1,000 Ouguiya, 2014
   Islamic Republic of Mauritania, since independence in 1960. Design: a camel, fish and the minaret of Chinguetti. The ouguiya is one of only two currencies in the world not divided into hundredths, and this note is from the old series replaced in 2018.

4. Afghanistan – 10,000 Afghanis, 1993
   Islamic Emirate of Afghanistan, since 2021. This note was printed in 1993, under the Islamic State of Afghanistan. Design: the Great Mosque of Herat.
