This piece copies the Daoguang Tongbao, the cash coin of Emperor Daoguang’s reign (1821–1850) in Qing Dynasty China. It is a round coin with a square hole and four Chinese characters, read top, bottom, right, left: 道光通寶 (Dao Guang Tong Bao). It is sold as a replica and is not claimed or guaranteed to be an original Qing Dynasty coin.
