The backs show famous Iranian heritage: the wind-catchers of Abarkooh, the tomb of the poet Hafez in Shiraz, and Persian pottery and silverware. Together the three notes carry a face value of 35,000 Rials.

- Front: A portrait of Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini beside a red-green circular seal and the value 10000, on a bright green note
- Back: The domed tomb of the poet Hafez (Hafezieh) in Shiraz with a calligraphic verse, on a green note

3. 5,000 Rials
- Front: A portrait of Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini beside floral ornaments and the value “Five Thousand Rials” in Persian script, on a brown and olive note
- Back: A Persian pottery bowl and a silver plate engraved with a deer, on a brown and pink note
