Overview
A set of two uncirculated banknotes of the Bank of Somaliland – 1000 Shillings (2014) and 500 Shillings (2016). Both notes show a view of Hargeysa on the front and, on the back, livestock being loaded onto a cargo ship – a nod to the livestock trade that is central to Somaliland’s economy. Together the two notes carry a face value of 1,500 Somaliland Shillings.
