This is a circulated commemorative 5 Rupees coin from the Republic of India, issued between 2012 and 2013 to celebrate 60 years of the India Government Mint in Kolkata (1952-2012). This brass-plated stainless steel coin honors the significant role of the Kolkata mint in India’s monetary history.

- Reverse: Displays the Lion Capital of Ashoka, the national emblem of India, with “सत्यमेव जयते” (Satyameva Jayate) inscribed below. 1 The words “भारत” (Bharat) in Hindi and “INDIA” in English are present, along with the symbol of the Indian Rupee “₹” above the numeral “5”. “रूपये” (Rupaye) in Hindi and “RUPEES” in English are inscribed on either side of the numeral.
