Overview
A set of three uncirculated banknotes of Da Afghanistan Bank – 10,000, 500 and 50 Afghanis. The notes carry Solar Hijri dates (SH 1372, 1369 and 1358) and show Afghan landmarks and traditions: a mosque gateway, buzkashi horsemen, historic fortresses and a palace. Together the three notes carry a face value of 10,550 Afghanis.

- Back: An ancient arch in front of a hilltop fortress, with the value 10000 in numerals

2. 500 Afghanis – SH 1369 (1990)
- Front: Horsemen playing buzkashi, the national horseback game, with the bank emblem, in brown and green tones
- Back: A hilltop fortress reflected in a river, in green and yellow tones
- Serial Number: Printed in Eastern Arabic numerals – see photographs
3. 50 Afghanis – SH 1358 (1979)
- Front: The bank emblem between large decorative rosettes and the value 50, in dark green
- Back: A large domed palace building among trees, in blue-grey tones
- Serial Number: Printed in Eastern Arabic numerals – see photographs
