1835 East India Company Half Anna Copper Coin – British India
Original antique Half Anna coin issued by the East India Company in 1835 during the early British India period. The obverse features the East India Company coat of arms with two lions supporting a shield and the Latin motto “AUSP: REG: & SEN: ANG:”. The reverse displays the denomination “HALF ANNA” within a decorative wreath and the inscription “EAST INDIA COMPANY”.
This coin belongs to the Uniform Coinage series introduced by the East India Company and is one of the classic collectible copper coins of pre-Victorian British India.
