This is a circulated commemorative 1 Rupee coin from the Republic of India, issued in 1993 to commemorate the 89th Inter-Parliamentary Union Conference held in India. This copper-nickel coin celebrates international parliamentary cooperation.

- Reverse: Displays the Lion Capital of Ashoka, the national emblem of India, with “सत्यमेव जयते” (Satyameva Jayate) inscribed below. The words “भारत” (Bharat) in Hindi and “INDIA” in English are present, along with the denomination “1” and “रूपया” (Rupaya) in Hindi and “RUPEE” in English.
