Features:
- Obverse: Features the Lion Capital of Ashoka, the symbol of India, with the inscription “सत्यमेव जयते” (Satyameva Jayate) meaning “Truth Alone Triumphs” below it. The words “भारत” (Bharat) in Hindi and “INDIA” in English are inscribed at the top, while “रूपये” (Rupaye) in Hindi and “RUPEES” in English are at the bottom. The numeral “5” prominently displays the coin’s denomination.
- Reverse: Depicts a hand holding stalks of wheat and barley, with the FAO emblem subtly placed on the back of the hand.
