Overview
A set of eight uncirculated (UNC) banknotes of the Central Bank of Syria, from 5,000 Syrian Pounds down to 25 Syrian Pounds. The notes carry the date of issue in both the Islamic (AH) and Gregorian calendars, run from 2009 to 2025, and show Syria’s heritage on both sides: Roman theatres and arches, the Hama waterwheels, ancient mosaics and a cuneiform tablet. Together the eight notes carry a face value of 8,875 Syrian Pounds.
