The story behind the set
n
The 5 Bolívares comes from the Bolívar Fuerte, introduced in 2008. By 2018 inflation had grown so severe that Venezuela replaced it with the Bolívar Soberano, cutting five zeros – one new bolívar was worth 100,000 old ones. The 2, 20 and 50 Bolívares come from that new series.
